Clinical Resource Therapy Qualification Program
Best for therapists who want the full ten-day qualification and a deeper clinical framework. This is essential for EMDR, Trauma therapists, and those who work with clinical complexity. You will learn the full Resource Therapy model, the 15 treatment actions, and practical tools you can apply in session. You gain the right to be called a Clinical Resource Therapist and apply for membership with Resource Therapy International.
Advanced Clinical / Train the Trainer in Resource Therapy Program
This program is ideal for already certified Clinical Resource Therapy practitioners. It suits those who want to deepen their expertise. Practitioners can move towards advanced practice on topics in ADHD, Chronic Pain, Depression, Eating Disordered behaviours, DID, and Psychosis. Supporting you in your leadership and training development of sharing Resource Therapy globally.

Who is Resource Therapy for?
Resource Therapy is designed for mental health professionals. This includes general and clinical psychologists, doctors, and psychiatrists. Occupational Therapists, counsellors, and social workers also gain from it. It is useful for clinical hypnotherapists, second-career therapists, counselling students, psychotherapists, and professional coaches. Especially if you seek a structured yet flexible method for working with clients’ inner world of parts.
What if I’ve already trained in EMDR, Schema Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, IFS, or Ego State Therapy?
Fantastic! Resource Therapy complements these approaches beautifully. Many therapists with experience in EMDR, Ego State Therapy, IFS, or your specialty. Many notice RT deepens their work with trauma. It also enhances compassionate therapy involving dissociation.
How Do I Know Which Program Is Right for Me?
If you are new to Resource Therapy, our Foundation training is the ideal introduction. It covers the core ideas and skills, and also forms Blocks 1 and 2 of the Clinical Qualification.
If you want to integrate Resource Therapy into your clinical work on a deeper level, consider the Clinical Qualification. This choice helps you work more confidently. Over ten days, you will gain the full suite of Resource Therapy techniques. These include treatment actions and practical tools. This gives you a much more comprehensive, usable, and clinically powerful framework.
In other words, the Foundation certificate helps you begin. Clinical Resource Therapy Qualification helps you truly practise.
Already certified as a Clinical Resource Therapist? Our Advanced Clinical and Master Classes offer high-level professional development in parts work dealing with ADHD, Dissociation, Psychosis, and Depression. As these are specialist competencies, we will at times invite guest presenters to teach.
Can I claim CPD hours for this training?
Yes! All of our programs are CPD-eligible according to your professional association. competency standards and code of conduct. We offer certificates. We also provide documentation for professional development tracking. These come as an endorsed qualification from Resource Therapy International (RTI), the peak body for Resource Therapy. Is the training practical?
Absolutely. Philipa and Chris’s sessions are hands-on and experiential. They are fun and designed to help you apply what you learn immediately in your practice. There are guest appearances by RTI Founder Gordon Emmerson, PhD (if available). Specialist RT Trainers participate in the sessions. They are highly experienced in working with ADHD, DID, Complex PTSD presentations, and more.

Meet the skilled therapists, counselors & psychologists graduating from the Sydney Foundation Certificate Resource Therapy Training
Presenters: Philipa Thornton is the Executive Director of the Resource Therapy Institute and President of Resource Therapy International. Philipa is a Sydney-based psychologist and clinical supervisor.
She runs Marriage Works, a busy private practice in the Eastern Suburbs with her husband, Chris. She is also an Imago Therapy coach and workshop presenter.
Chris Paulin is the Clinical Director of the Australia Resource Therapy Institute. He holds a position at Resource Therapy International, the peak body of Resource Therapy. Chris is a child and family consultant psychologist with a master’s in Clinical Psychology. As trusted mental health professionals, they have over half a century of clinical skill and field-proven experience.
