Welcome, RT community and those interested in Parts therapy.

Boy to say are we in a very different world is an understatement. With the COVID19 pandemic affecting the world, we need to adapt and do it quickly to survive and help our clients thrive.

It’s a necessity to be online for your practice to survive.

For many Resource Therapists, using Resource Therapy (RT) online may be a first. Or you may have had some sticky moments, or perhaps you are new to RT, please join us. It’s free too.

As a result I am excited to be offering a free webinar to support your online therapy adventures.

While obviously in-person therapy is ideal, let me reassure you online sessions work just as well. Possibly better!

I have been using RT online for several years now and can honestly say I have been blown away by the results.

I had a call from a client in Darwin, I’d worked with via live streaming several years ago. She called recently for a top-up. She said the RT session been life-changing, saying she was now in a healthy relationship and her sense of confidence self-belief had been restored.

This is the beauty of RT. One session wonders where long-standing issues resolve and are reprocessed, you don’t get with talking therapy alone.

Vaded State work is integral to the online processing of Rejection and Fear. My experience and client’s reports tell us it is very worthwhile.

As we know the value of RT what could be better than getting it to a worldwide audience. You in the comfort of your office, lounge or kitchen table. Your clients in a lockdown can access your great service. It’s win, win.

It’s going to be super practical. We will go over what you need to set up online for live streaming and working with the technology.

I will be focusing on Zoom and applying RT online in session as it’s the most accessible for many.

It will be lively and interactive with your questions and experiences welcome.

I am busy creating content and will be delivering it soon. Watch this space.

Feeling Rejected? You are not Alone.

Social distancing can trigger our rejection issues Resource Therapy helps to heal training workshops now online

Dear Resource Therapy friends and family, what a whirlwind of change this pandemic has brought to our lives. I do hope you are safe and sound.

With self-isolation and social distancing Resource states holding any rejection come to the surface.

Feeling shunned can effect ourself esteem, Resource Therapy Restores our sense of self with the Find Resource Action

I’ve felt it myself. Walking into the supermarket and moving away from people to meet health care recommendations feels odd. And when people step back a part of me goes ” Oh!?”.

A second later I realize it’s not me they avoiding, its COVID 19. I’d imagine many of us have a little reaction like this. It’s a weird situation.

For our clients with complex PTSD this is amplified triggering parts who have experienced bullying, abuse episodes of hurt and being shunned to be at the helm. These parts when on deck bring the unprocessed pain with them.

Many of my clients are doing really deep and profound work at this time. Online naturally.

It’s not unusual for me to offer my clients a fee-free session. I want them to feel safe and supported by me. It’s a wonderful feeling to the gratitude I get in return. Such a blessing.

As rejection provides us with access to parts stuck in past emotional pain and hurt.

Resource Therapists are trained to facilitate the Expression, Removal and Relief Steps as per the Vaded in Rejection Protocol.

This process usually takes only a few minutes, allowing clients to stay within their window of tolerance.

Corona News

We are flooded with images and media on COVID19. I am all for keeping abreast. It’s just too easy to get overloaded and overwhelmed. I limit my exposure to the media virus.

I will usually check on the phone in the morning any articles with a quick scan. I generally don’t watch the news. I find journalists’ constant output makes me bored or I start to get anxious. Quick back to my book, talk to Chris or Netflix.

I am suggesting to my clients and friends they only post and listen to the advice of official channels such as WHO, https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019; the CDC https://www.cdc.gov/, and other Government websites for their information.

For Australian’s, you can find the latest recommendations here: https://www.health.gov.au/news/health-alerts/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-health-alert

There is just too much fake news out there, Facebook is full of it. I suggest we all limit our media diet and remember to make the most of these curious times.

How have the changes affected you? What adjustments have you made and the impacts? Love to hear from you, please drop a comment in the box below.

Thanks for your time.

Please stay safe and remain healthy.

Lots of love Philipa xox

6 Ways to Maintain a Steady Flow of Clients & Remain Productive in Uncertain Times

Going online you can assist your clients and keep yourself financially alive in these times of uncertainty.

Hi guys we are in a time of world change with widespread implications for health practitioners. I guarantee there are many clients who need your assistance now more than ever.

Here are some ideas for keeping your therapy business alive and well in these uncertain times.

  1. If you haven’t already, head online and offer internet or phone counseling sessions. Now is the time to get yourself tech-savvy and offer face to face sessions in safety over the internet. There are many options – Facetime, Skype, Whatsapp and Zoom are available. Check your necessary security requirements, as per your professional association recommendations. I am using Zoom which offers one on one online therapy sessions as part of their free account.
  2. Offer session package deals to celebrate your new online provision. Say three sessions for the investment of two when paid upfront in advance.
  3. Provide Covid discounts. It’s better to support and see a client who most needs you through job loss or other stresses by offering a sliding scale. Psychologists can bulk bill financially challenged people.
  4. Create free resources – it’s a perfect opportunity in quieter times to get your creative parts out. Make postcards, info sheets with your special touch to send out to your clients via text or email. You can build a series of useful tools for clients. Be imaginative – ie your essential emotional survival kit for the Coronavirus in uncertain times. Actually I’d recommend good old snail mail to send your info kits out. Reaching out in this way will be so touching.
  5. Touch base with your past clients with a hello and letting them know about your new safety service provisions, that you’re there for them and your best regards. You might want to send them your new resources too.
  6. Time to file and sort out your office. In this downtime it’s a chance to catch up on the admin side of our businesses. My filing cabinets definitely need clearing and cleansing. Marie Kondo office cleaning here we come.
Fist bumps all round as we care and support each other in the covid19 crisis

We are in this together and we will get through this. I am loving the increased kindness and community support.
